INFECTIOUS DISEASES (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1985.
In exercise of the powers vested in the Minister for Health by sections 5 of the Health Act, 1947 (No. 28 of 1947) and by section 31 of the said Act, as amended by section 34 of the Health Act, 1953 (No. 26 of 1953), which said powers are delegated to me by the Health (Delegation of Functions) Order , 1984 (S.I. No. 4 of 1984), I, John F. Donnellan, Minister of State at the Department of Health, hereby make the following Regulations: -
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Infectious Diseases (Amendment) Regulations, 1985.
2. The Schedule to the Infectious Diseases Regulations, 1981 (S.I. No. 390 of 1981) is hereby amended by the deletion therefrom of
- "Venereal disease — gonococcal infections
- — syphilis
- — other (including non-specific urethritis, chancroid. granuloma inguinale, and lymo-granuloma venereum)".
- — syphilis
- — gonorrhoea
- — chancroid
- — lymphogranuloma venereum
- — granuloma inguinale
- — non-specific urethritis
- — chlamydia trachomatis
- — trichomoniasis
- — candidiasis
- — pediculosis pubis
- — ano-genital warts
- — molluscum contagiosum
- — genital herpes simplex".

EXPLANATORY NOTE.
These Regulations amend the Schedule to the Infectious Diseases Regulations 1981 (S.I. No. 390 of 1981) to include a number of additional non-specific Sexually Transmissable Diseases which require to be notified
